Lorin and his wife Edith are great. They are warm and friendly and so eager to make sure that your stay in Paris is as comfortable as possible. The apartment on Rue Petion is totally adorable. Whoever decorated it has excellent taste. It's comfortable, fully equipped, and very quiet. It's got great big windows onto the courtyard with a view of the Parisian rooftop with chimneys. It's also centrally located and convenient for pretty much all the interesting things Paris has to offer, including an amazing market at Bastille and great small stores (butcher, cheese, bakery) on the street around the corner. We can't recommend the apartment and Lorin and Edith enough.

I stayed at rue Petion for one year and loved it! The apartment was perfectly suited for me with its tasteful decor and ample space for cooking and working. The apartment is located in a neighborhood with everything and it's all within short walking distance: butcher, bakery, cheese shop, wine shop, grocery store, great restaurants and a metro station. I highly recommend rue Petion; it made my year in Paris a true Parisian experience.

I stayed in Edith and Lorin's flat on rue Petion for three months, and it was a fantastic way to experience Paris. You wake up with the neighborhood, eat warm croissants for breakfast, buy groceries from the family shops near Place Leon Blum, and travel by foot or by using the Voltaire metro station half a block away. The flat has several different living spaces, hundreds of TV channels in dozens of languages, excellent internet, and many interesting books. I would still be there if my visa allowed.
